The Commissioner of Police (CP), Abia State Command, CP Wilfred Olutokunbo Afolabi, on Thursday 3 September 2026 paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant, Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance (NNCAF), Owerrinta, Abia State.
The CP was received by the Commandant NNCAF, alongside senior officers of the College. The visit was aimed at strengthening the existing cordial relationship between the Nigerian Navy and the Nigeria Police Force, particularly in the areas of security cooperation, intelligence sharing and joint efforts towards maintaining peace and security in Abia State.
Speaking during the visit, CP Wilfred Olutokunbo Afolabi expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage. He underscored the importance of inter-agency collaboration in confronting emerging security challenges. The Commissioner further emphasized that sustained cooperation and timely exchange of information among security agencies remain critical to strengthening security in the Abia State and the nation as a whole.
In his remarks, the Commandant NNCAF congratulated CP Afolabi on his appointment. He expressed confidence in the rich experience of the CP and said the visit would further deepen the existing relationship between the Nigerian Navy and the Nigeria Police Force. The Commandant assured the CP of the College’s continued readiness to collaborate with the Abia State Police Command in areas of mutual interest. The visit concluded with the presentation of souvenirs and a group photograph.
