The Abia State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant of Corps Odimba Chukwuemeka Nicholson paid a courtesy visit to the Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance (NNCAF), reaffirming the importance of inter-agency cooperation in enhancing national security and institutional effectiveness within the state’s Area of responsibility.
He was warmly received by the Commandant NNCAF, Commodore Babatunde Usman Quadri, who expressed appreciation for the visit and the enduring partnership between both institutions. During the engagement, the NSCDC State Commandant emphasized the need for sustained collaboration, particularly in areas of capacity building, intelligence sharing, and joint operational support. He noted that the military has long been the backbone of the existence of NSCDC as a whole. He further stated that closer synergy between the NSCDC and NNCAF would go a long way to strengthen efforts toward safeguarding critical national assets and maintaining public order in Abia State.
In response, Commodore Quadri reiterated their commitment to fostering productive relationships with sister security agencies, highlighting the College’s role in training personnel not only in financial management but also in discipline, accountability, and inter-agency coordination.
The visit featured a brief interaction session, where both parties exchanged ideas on improving operational efficiency and deepening institutional ties. As a mark of goodwill and mutual respect, souvenirs were exchanged between the NSCDC delegation and the College. The event concluded with a group photograph, capturing the shared resolve of both organizations to continue working collaboratively in the interest of national development and security.
