The Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance (NNCAF) on Wednesday, 30 September 2026, conducted a Free Medical Outreach for residents of Umuochala and neighbouring communities in Owerrinta, Abia State.
The outreach provided beneficiaries with free medical consultations, medications, health screenings, deworming, eye and dental care, family planning services and insecticide-treated mosquito nets.
The outreach is in line with the strategic directive of the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abbas, to foster cordial civil-military relations through non-kinetic initiatives.
Speaking at the event, the Commandant of the College, Commodore Babatunde Quadri, reaffirmed the College’s commitment to the well-being of its host communities and urged residents to embrace healthy living and preventive healthcare. The community, through its leader, Chief Kenneth Nzeoma, expressed appreciation to the Commandant and the Nigerian Navy for the gesture, noting its positive impact on the health and well-being of the people.
