NNCAF on 3 March 2026, handed over 24 bags of Cannabis Sativa weighing approximately 282 kg to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Abia State, following an arrest made by the College’s patrol team along the Aba-Owerri Expressway on 2 March 2026.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony in the College’s premises, the Commandant NNCAF Commodore Babatunde Usman Quadri, represented by College Regulating Officer Lieutenant Commander Peter Isaac Ogbe, said the seizure was in line with NNCAF’s mandate to maintain security within its Area of Responsibility. The narcotics were received by the Assistant Commander Narcotics, Mr. Nnamdi Nwaolisa Kenneth for further investigation, underscoring the Nigerian Navy’s resolve to combat criminal activities in collaboration with other security agencies.
