NIGERIAN NAVY COLLEGE OF ACCOUNTS AND FINANCE, OWERRINTA

REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION INTO ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES FOR THE 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

NATIONAL DIPLOMA

Applicants for admission into National Diploma (ND) programmes must take the JAMB UTME, meet the institution’s cut-off mark, and possess the following:

Department of Accountancy

WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB Ordinary Level Certificate with five (5) credit passes obtained at not more than two (2) sittings. The credit passes must include English Language, Mathematics and any three (3) subjects from: Economics, Business Methods/Business Studies, Commerce, Principles of Accounts/Bookkeeping, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Government, History, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, Typewriting, Shorthand and Statistics.

Department of Business Administration and Management

WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB Ordinary Level Certificate with five (5) credit passes obtained at not more than two (2) sittings. The credit passes must include English Language, Mathematics and any three (3) subjects from:  Economics, Business Methods/Business Studies, Commerce, Principles of Accounts/Bookkeeping, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Government, History, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, Typewriting, Shorthand, and Civic Education.

Department of Office Technology and Management

WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB Ordinary Level Certificate with five (5) credit passes obtained at not more than two (2) sittings. The credit passes must include English Language, Mathematics and any other three (3) subjects from: Economics, Commerce, Business Method/Business Studies, Principles of Accounts/Bookkeeping, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, History/Government, Typewriting, Shorthand, and CRS/IRS.

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA

Applicants for admission into Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes must meet the following requirements:

  1. A minimum of 5 credits (including English Language and Mathematics) in WAEC/WASSCE/NECO/NABTEB (ordinary level) in not more than 2 sittings.
  2. National Diploma with a minimum of lower credit in the relevant discipline, obtained from an NBTE-accredited.
  3. A minimum of one-year post-ND cognate work experience (Industrial Training) in the field of specialisation.
  4. Candidates with ND at pass level and a minimum of 2 years post-ND cognate work experience may be considered.
