Undergraduate Admission for 2023/2024 Academic Session
National Diploma (ND)
1. DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTANCY
1. Applicants must:
i. Have passed JAMB
II. Have passed the NNCAF Aptitude Test.
III. Possess any of the following qualification(s):
(a) GCE/SSCE/WASC/NECO/NABTEB/ Ordinary Level or Teachers Grade II with five (5) credit passes obtained at not more than two sittings. The credit passes must include English Language, Mathematics, and any three (3) subjects from: Economics, Business Methods, Commerce, Principles of Accounts/Bookkeeping, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Government/History, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, Typewriting, Shorthand.
Or
(b) Five passes in relevant subjects obtained at the final examination of an NBTE-recognized Pre-ND programme offered by Polytechnics and similar post-secondary technical institutions.
2. DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND MANAGEMENT
i. Entry Requirements
Same as for the Department of Accountancy.
3. DEPARTMENT OF OFFICE TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT
i. Entry Requirements.
A. All applicants must pass true JAMB
B. Candidates must have passed the NNCAF Aptitude Test.
C. Candidates for Office Technology and Management should possess
GCE/SSCE/WASC/NECO/NABTEB/Ordinary Level or Teachers Grade II with Five (5) credit passes obtained at not more than two (2) sittings. The credit passes include English Language, Mathematics, and any other three (3) subjects from:
Economics, Commerce, Business Methods, Principles of Accounts, Literature in English, Geography, Office Practice, Biology/Agricultural Science, Chemistry, Physics, History/Government, Typewriting, Shorthand, CRS/IRS, Igbo/Yoruba/Hausa. A pass in Mathematics is acceptable.
D. Five passes in relevant subjects as stated in 3.6.1(a) above obtained at the final examination of an NBTE-recognized Pre-ND programme offered by Polytechnics and similar post-secondary technical institutions.
4. HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA
I. Requirements for Admission
Applicants for admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) Programme should possess:
II. At least a lower credit at the National Diploma of the College or equivalent institutions. Such applicants must have met the minimum academic requirement and other qualifications for admission into the National Diploma programme.
iii Evidence of at least one (1) year post-ND work experience in relevant ship/industry
iv. Applicants who passed ND below the lower credit level may be admitted after a two (2) year post-ND relevant industrial experience.
5. CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME
Admission requirements for the certificate programme shall depend on the level of the certificate and as prescribed by the various departments subject to approval by the Academic Board.
