The Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance (NNCAF), under the leadership of its Commandant, Commodore BU Quadri, successfully conducted the matriculation ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic session on Wednesday, 22 October 2025. The 11th matriculation ceremony took place at the College Auditorium, marking a significant milestone in the academic calendar.
In his opening remarks, Commodore Quadri congratulated the new students and warmly welcomed them to the College. He emphasized NNCAF’s unwavering commitment to its core mandate of training highly skilled, disciplined, and ethically grounded personnel in the fields of accounts, finance, and administration for the Nigerian Navy and other strategic institutions.
Commodore Quadri highlighted that the College continues to uphold the standards set by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) adding that the recent re-accreditation of the College’s programmes by NBTE stands as a testament to the quality of its curriculum and facilities.
He further noted that NNCAF has strengthened partnerships with recognized professional and academic bodies, including the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)and the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) which ensures that training remains relevant, globally competitive, and responsive to emerging challenges.
Addressing the students, the Commandant urged them to approach their studies with seriousness, humility, and determination. He reminded them that academic excellence alone is insufficient without strong character, loyalty, and commitment to the ideals of the Navy.
The Commandant expressed profound gratitude to the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, for his visionary leadership, and unwavering dedication to human capacity development within the Nigerian Navy. He also acknowledged the Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command, Rear Admiral RO Obeya, for his consistent encouragement, and mentorship, which have been instrumental in sustaining the progress and discipline of the College.
Commodore Quadri concluded by commending the dedicated officers, instructors, and civilian staff of NNCAF for their tireless efforts in maintaining high academic and professional standards, which continue to uphold the College’s reputation as a model of naval training excellence.
