The Commandant of the Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance (NNCAF), Commodore Babatunde Usman Quadri on Tuesday 17 February 2026 decorated some ratings recently advanced to higher ranks in line with the directive of the Naval Headquarters.
The ceremony recognized 47 ratings for their dedication and exemplary service to the Nigerian Navy and the nation at large. In his congratulatory address, Commodore Quadri commended the ratings for their diligence, discipline, and unwavering commitment to duty. He further emphasized that promotions were not only a recognition of past achievements, but also a call to greater responsibility. He urged the newly promoted ratings to continue to uphold the highest standards in their conduct and service to the nation.
The ceremony was witnessed by officers, ratings and civilian staff of the College, who gathered to celebrate the milestone with their colleagues. A total of 9 senior rates and 38 junior rates were decorated with their new ranks ranging from Master Warrant Officer (MWO) to Seaman (SM). The event underscores the Nigerian Navy’s continued commitment to rewarding merit and fostering professional development among its personnel.
